Women

Ladies, we are critical in bringing back a culture of life to our communities! That old saying is right…it does take two to tango, but it takes US to bring children into this world. The pressures of life can make us forget this one truth-life is precious and valuable. Your life is valuable, and the lives of your children are just as valuable.

We all experience challenges and struggles in this life. It doesn’t matter whether you’re wealthy, barely above the poverty line, or somewhere in the middle…whether you’re African American, Caucasian, Native American, Asian, Latina or another flavor. Raising children can be a struggle. But the struggle doesn’t diminish the value of our children.

If you’re trying to decide whether to continue with a pregnancy you might hear one of these statements:

  • “You’re barely making it now. How will you support another child?”
  • “Don’t ask me to help you. I didn’t sign on for no babies.”
  • “What about your job? Another kid will just mean more daycare bills. You can’t afford that.”

Consider this: you have power. Not just a choice, but power. People who make statements like those are trying to take away your power. Don’t let them do it. Tell yourself:

  • “It’s going to be difficult, but I can make it.”
  • “I’m resourceful. I know how to find the help I need. If I don’t know, I’m going to ask somebody.”
  • “Nothing and no one can make me take the life of my child to avoid difficulty and hardship. I’m better than that.”

Dayton Black Americans for Life is here to educate you about the false solution of abortion, to encourage you and help you reclaim your power, and to support you in exercising your choice to live and let live.
