If you’ve had an abortion Know This:
- Your abortion is part of your past. You can move on by dealing with any issues that have come because of the abortion.
- There’s no shame in admitting feelings or questions you might have. The real shame would be to let someone convince you that abortion is “normal” and that you shouldn’t feel sad, angry, or regret what happened. Not every woman who has an abortion has those feelings,
but don’t be ashamed if you do. - There is help available if you need and want it. By working to find healing, you can recover from the trauma of abortion, and not just cover up the situation.
